Obama what else

It would be a cardinal sin to talk about anything else today and why not by far this is the most happening thing happened to the financially stricken US. I seriously hope it is for the best.

today i was away since to morning to attend classes which is what i do most of the days. before leaving for the college i did see Obama leading 200-128 which was sure enough indication of an impressive win. By the afternoon my friend conformed that it has happened. Barack Obama is the next US president.

Its exciting time ahead to see what all changes Obama will actually bring. first and foremost being a finance student how he will respond to the global meltdown is what concerns me. There is already a cry from EU about "lets get things sorted" to Obama after his great victory. the economic machinery's response to the measures taken by virtually every nation is something to be seen over time. Worlds wishes are with him

I went through his victory speech text which is very impressive and talks about new age have come. Obama's chant during campaign was "you can do it" "yes you can". Which met a equal crowd chant after it was declared that Sen. Obama is victorious " yes we can" "yes we did". what Obama has achieved is of gigantic proportions. In 250 years of independent America he is the first African-American Presidential nominee from either of the two political parties "Republican" and "Democrat". Racial history, civil war and all the holy c**p has made this moment even more special and makes US truly independent all over again.

Obama is feared to be socialist but i am very sure in financial mess that US is in it can ill afford the socialist measures and hopefully we will see many many "brilliant" decisions like his strategy to dismantle McCain.

For all Indians there is a good news too. Obama has already pledge to take relations with India to new level. Kudos and visionary to speak about India on his victory day.

This is a watershed of US history and this leaves me to think when Indians will reach this maturity and treat Dalits with equality. Also Dalits to rise above social stigma and conduct themselves better. I seriously hope to see that day.
